Know your rights under FERPA & Non-Discrimination Laws!

Free summer GED classes, provided by the Regional Adult Education Program of Lee, Scott and Wise counties and the City of Norton, are currently available. In Scott County, classes will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays in Gate City at the Regional Adult Education office at 1490 Bristol Highway. These classes will continue through June 30.

In Lee County, classes will be held from 9 a.m. to noon each Tuesday and Thursday through June 30 at the Jonesville Adult Learning Center, located at 143 School Board Classes in Wise County will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays through June 15 and from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., also on Tuesdays and Thursdays, through June 30. All classes in Wise will be held at the Wise Adult Learning Center, located at 515 Hurricane Road, Building J.

These classes prepare adults to pass the GED (General Educational Development) test and compete in the work place. They are free of charge to adults who are at least 18 and not enrolled in public school.

Free distance learning classes are also available in all localities. Students in the distance learning classes must have computer and Internet access, such as found in local public libraries.
